The Four Horned Jacob Sheep is considered the original sheep where all other popular hunted sheep originated from. The 4 Horn Jacob Sheep dates back to 3000 years ago from Syria. Small numbers of Jacob sheep were imported into the United States in the early 1900’s.
The Four Horned Jacob Sheep typically carries 2 pairs of horns in both the male and female. The Jacob Sheep breed typically has a white body with spotting of black and brown, and a white face. They have thick heavy wool usually from 3 to 7 inches.
Four Horned Jacob Sheep has very unusual horns, not antlers, which do not shed and continue to grow, making this a beautiful trophy. The horns on males can vary in length from 12 inches up to 30 inches and will all differ. The male Four Horn Sheep weighs between 120 and 180 lbs.
