We typically let our hunters choose the method of hunting Trophy Painted Desert Ram that they prefer. Hunters of Trophy Painted Desert Sheep can choose the Spot and Stalk method, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Black Powder, Safari Style Hunting, Handgun, as well as hunting from a Blind. We can accommodate hunters of any age and experience level, as well as hunters which have physical disabilities or may be confined to a wheelchair.
Texas Hunt Lodge has (2) Classes of Painted Desert Rams for hunting, Trophy Rams in the 30" range as well as Record Class in the 38" range for those looking for the next World Record Sheep.
We offer all Rams in the Corsican Family including Black Hawaiian Sheep, Texas Dall Sheep, and Corsican Barbado Ram.

Painted Desert Ram Trophy Fees
- Trophy Painted Desert Ram (Average 30"): $2,500
- Record Painted Desert Ram (Average 38 inches): $4,500
Trophy Fee is in addition to $350 per day which covers All-Inclusive Hunt Package.
Non-hunting guests may accompany the hunter for an additional $150 per day which covers lodging, meals and amenities as well.
What is a Painted Desert Ram/Sheep? - The Painted Desert Ram is in the Corsican Sheep Family. In order for a Ram to be classified as a Painted Desert, it must have 3 distinct colors, i.e. White, Brown, and Black, as opposed to the typically Corsican Barbado Ram only having Brown and Black in their coats.
