What is a YO Ibex? – The YO Ibex was created on the YO Ranch in Kerr County, Texas. The YO Ranch took a Persian Ibex and hybridized it with a Catalina Goat; the result is a YO Ibex. Some YO Ibex have horns that look more like a Catalina but with an Ibex body, and others may look more like a Persian Ibex but with a shaggy Catalina-type coat.

There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting the YO Ibex in Texas, which makes it a suitable trophy year-round. This rugged terrain offers a true adventure for those looking to experience the outdoors and the wilderness firsthand.

We typically let our hunters choose the method of hunting Trophy YO Ibex that they prefer. Hunters of Trophy YO Ibex can choose the Spot and Stalk method, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Black Powder, Safari Style Hunting, Handgun, as well as hunting from a Blind. We can accommodate hunters of any age and experience level, as well as hunters with disabilities. Equip yourself with binoculars and a scope for tracking and shooting the YO Ibex, or use camouflage for stalking them through the mountains.

Originating from hybridization efforts on the YO Ranch in Kerr County, Texas, the YO Ibex combines characteristics of both the Persian Ibex and Catalina Goat.
