There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting the Painted Desert Sheep in Texas, making it a suitable trophy year-round, and no specific tags are required for this hunt.
Our hunters have the flexibility to choose their preferred hunting method for Trophy Painted Desert Rams. Whether it’s the Spot and Stalk method, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting with the aid of scopes and camouflage, Black Powder, Safari Style Hunting, Handgun, or hunting from a Blind equipped with binoculars, we cater to diverse preferences. We accommodate hunters of all ages and experience levels, ensuring an inclusive and memorable hunting experience in the rugged terrain of Texas, reminiscent of the wilderness of Arizona.
At Texas Hunt Lodge, we offer two classes of Painted Desert Rams for hunting. We have Trophy Rams in the 30″ range, as well as Record Class Rams in the 38″ range, ideal for those seeking the next World Record Sheep. Our expert guides, equipped with essential gear like backpacks and boots, and exceptional hunting grounds make Texas Hunt Lodge the ultimate destination for Painted Desert Sheep hunting.
We offer all Rams in the Corsican Family including Black Hawaiian Sheep, Texas Dall Sheep, and Corsican Barbado Ram.

Painted Desert Ram Trophy Fee
Painted Desert Ram Trophy Fee: $ 2500 - 4500 *
Trophy Fee is in addition to $395 per day which covers All-Inclusive Hunt Package.
Non-hunting guests may accompany the hunter for an additional $200 per day which
covers lodging, meals and amenities as well.
What is a Painted Desert Ram/Sheep? – The Painted Desert Ram is in the Corsican Sheep Family. In order for a Ram to be classified as a Painted Desert, it must have 3 distinct colors, i.e. White, Brown, and Black, as opposed to the typically Corsican Barbado Ram only having Brown and Black in their coats.
