Turkey Hunting
Turkey Hunting Details
Texas Hunt Lodge offers exciting Turkey hunts on over 3000 acres of diverse Hill Country terrain. We specialize in hunting Texas Rio Grande Turkey, boasting the finest selection of large birds in the world. These turkeys, whether tom or hen, can be found strutting their feathers around the terrain.
The hunting season for Turkey in Texas is limited to Spring Turkey Hunting, running from mid-March until the first weekend of May. During this time, our expert guides are not only scouting but also making precise use of decoy setups and camouflage blinds to ensure we take you to the best hunting spots. You’ll hear the gobble of a tom and may even spot them roost in the early morning.
Our preferred methods for Turkey hunting include Blind/Feeder hunts or guided roaming hunts with Shotgun, Bow, or Rifle. Hunters or guides use calls to lure the Turkey in close. Tags and permits are required for a legal hunt. We cater to hunters of all ages and experience levels, including those with physical disabilities.
While we cannot guarantee a successful hunt due to the unpredictability of Turkey behavior, we boast a remarkable 95% success rate over the past three years. This two-day hunt offers the opportunity to bag one Turkey with a prominent beard or impressive spurs. You can opt for a self-guided hunt, or our guides are available to assist you in calling in the birds, spotting a strutting tom, or even a hen.
